CRAFTY FOX FAIR!

Today I was selling at The Crafty Fox fair, at Brink, a new dry-bar in town. Liked the venue, esp the glass ceilings, which let in so much lovely natural light! I wanted to set the stall to seamlessly incorporate my aunty Trudie Pugh's knitted tea-cosies, so I loosely themed it an Alice style Mad Hatter's Tea-Party table. Sold lots of the new range, which will be online soon!

THIS SATURDAY, at BRINK!

RED-BEAN BUNNY BUNS!

So yesterday at the show, I talked snacks with Becky J and Even, and he reccomended some very intriguing chinese deserts. Today I went to the chinese supermarket and sought out the bunny rabbit buns he described. They were only £1.65 and there's ten in a packet! Steamed some up tonight for the house-boys! They're like soft white bread-dough with a big slap of rich subtly-sweet red bean paste in the center. Gorgeous! Try some!

LOST PROPERTIES!

Gia was playing an improv set with some of our friends tonight at the exhibition we still hadn't gotten out to see. Amazing space, and loads of great work! Tomo and Even continue to be ridiculously good at dry-humoured street-art, with immense painting skill, and Laura Spark's animation has come on tenfold since I last saw it, with a beautiful and skillfully made piece starring some wire-framed rabbit characters in a forest!
The improv sets went amazingly well too. Some very nice moments. I got thrust with a camera and asked to film, so hoping I actuallu managed to press record! ;-)

BUG-POP-BABY-DAY!

I agreed to have my niece for the day today, so lastnight I spent ages baby-proofing, as she's just walking, and putting everything in her mouth! As I work from home, there were jewellery parts, beads, charms, fastenings, links, and pins hidden EVERYWHERE around the room and ingrained into the rug! The day was hectic, to say the least! SO exhausted now!!! Here's a picture of her morning nap-time. The calm before the storm! Haha!

I know my Italian is terrible! But my Italian cooking's not quite as bad! Just had a well good risotto with bargain basement veg. Checkit! x

SHIP-SHAPED!

After the turbulence and trauma of last summer, came a european tour, then studio/bedroom hibernantion of my xmas BUG POP workshop, then an Italian tour, and then the luxurious escapism of a tropical holiday!!! This series of events did not bode well for my housekeeping upkeep! TO SAY THE LEAST! Today, after swapping some furniture with my mum, I FINALLY took the whole day to re-arrange and clean up my living room, and I am so glad I did! I'm in heaven right now. Had to share a picture! I wonder how long it will take to descend into chaos?! Here's hoping it will stick!

HOLIDAY!!!

Oh, just a few holiday snaps y'know! Nothing major! Not like I went snorkelling for the first time. Or saw sharks, rays, fruit-bats, and dolphins! Totally didn't end the holiday on my 29th birthday with a candle-lit dinner on the beach of a tiny Island in the Indian Ocean or anything!!! Sorry, who am I?!?!? :-D I reeeeeally needed to get away. No laptop, no work, no TV's, no newspapers, nothing. The whole world could have crumbled while we were away and it couldn't have hurt me. I ended 2011 covered in stress-related skin mess-ups, and prescriptions, and started 2012 with a tan and a perma-grin! I feel lucky, to say the least!
